T-minus 10 hours...

So, I've finally bit the bullet and scheduled foot surgery that I've been putting off for YEARS for tomorrow morning. People ask if I'm anxious about it and Sean doesn't think I'm taking it seriously enough...honestly, I'm just relieved that I'm finally getting it done. My biggest fear is the whole yucky feeling of coming out of the anesthesia. Oh yeah, and the intense pain I'll likely be in for awhile. Beats running another marathon with shooting pain through my foot though!

I'm hoping to track my progress here as I start the road to recovery - my milestones are driving, swimming, biking, walking, and running. I'm hoping to reach all of those within 8 weeks. The doctor seems to think that's about the timeline. I'll take it because that'll put me at June-ish to start the running season.

In the meantime, I've got projects to work on, books to read, and TV to catch up on! On the knitting front, I just started my second Honey Badger sock out of Yarn Pirate superwash merino. I also just received a counted cross-stitch sampler kit in the mail from Posie Gets Cozy. I'm really looking forward to starting that! On the book front, I'm waiting to come off the library waiting list for Clash of Kings (second Game of Thrones book) as well as the third book in the Maze Runner Series (Death Cure) to which I am SERIOUSLY addicted. If you liked Hunger Games, try it out!

So, hopefully more to share tomorrow - if I'm not too drugged up after the surgery. It's scheduled for 8am and the doctor thinks I'll be out of there by 10:30.

The journey begins...
